Meet InfoTHIRD ANNUAL ROLF LUND MEMORIAL TRACK AND FIELD MEET SATURDAY, APRIL 29, 2006
Richardson Stadium, Queen's University West Campus, Kingston, Ontario. DIRECTIONS: From Highway 401, take the Sir John A. MacDonald exit and proceed south to Johnson Street - turn right on Johnson, then take the first left into the Stadium Parking areas. Use the upper parking lots. FACILITIES: Eight lane Latex Track with latex runways for High Jump and Horizontal Jumps. Shot Put and Discus circles are concrete and Javelin is thrown from a grass surface. Change rooms and showers are available in the Stadium. A Refreshment Canteen will be open during the day. IMPLEMENTS: No throwing implements will be provided - PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN THROWING IMPLEMENTS. (Only IAAF approved javelins permitted in competition.). OFSAA Event specifics will apply - Midget Boys 100M Hurdles (33"), Junior Boys 100M Hurdles (36"), Senior Boys 110M Hurdles (36"), Midget and Junior Boys use the same size implements in the Throws (4K Shot Put, 1K Discus, 600g Javelin). STARTING BLOCKS: Starting Blocks will be available for Sprint Hurdles, 100M, 200M. ELIGIBILITY: The Meet is open to students from INVITED Schools only (Club entries will not be accepted). Entries must be submitted by the School. (There is no refund for entries accepted by the Meet Organizers.) An athlete may not enter more than 3 Individual Events (must be in one Age Class only) and may compete on no more than one Relay). AGE CLASSIFICATIONS: OFSAA Age Categories in effect. MIDGET (must not have reached their 14th Birthday by January 1 preceding the start of the School Year - and must be in Grade 9.); JUNIOR (must not have reached their 15th birthday by January 1 preceding the start of the School Year.): SENIOR (must not reached their 19th birthday by January 1 preceding the start of the School Year.). ENTRY FEES: Each School shall be charged $10 to enter the Meet (to help cover the increased cost of Stadium Rental) plus Event Entry costs as follows. Individual Events - $3 per athlete per event and Relay Teams - $7 per Team. (There will be a MAXIMUM ENTRY FEE of $260 based upon Event entries plus the $10 per school fee - this applies only to entries submitted by the initial closing date of MONDAY, APRIL 24 AT 11:59 P.M.). There is NO refund for an entry that is scratched. DEADLINE: The Entry Deadline is MONDAY, APRIL 24 at 11:59 P.M. LATE ENTRIES: Late entries may be accepted at the Organizers' discretion until THURSDAY, APRIL 27 at 5:00 P.M. Entry Fees for Late Entries will be $5 per athlete per event for Individual Events and $10 per Relay Team. (ALL LATE ENTRIES MUST BE PAID FOR - these are NOT included in a Maximum Team Entry Fee.) PAYMENT OF ENTRY FEES: SEED TIMES: Please include a Seed Time (as accurate as possible) for all athletes for each Track Event, so that Sections can be properly created. Entries with NO SEED TIME will be placed in the slow sections. SCRATCHES: In order to facilitate the smooth running of the Meet, please make SCRATCHES when your information package is picked up. (Scratches may also be made by e-mail up to Thursday, April 27 - send these to seblalonde@sympatico.ca ) AWARDS: Queen's University Medals will be presented to first place winners and Ribbons to 2nd - 6th place finishers in all events.
